NLP works on the principle that everyone has the resources within to make the positive changes. It is one of the most useful and accessible tools to come from modern psychology and can assist with helping with a wide range of problems.
During the session, the therapist works with a client to understand his/her thinking, emotional states, and behaviours. The therapist will work through a range of exercises in order to piece together clients, life map. Then using NLP techniques will begin to introduce new thought processes in order to help to widen the boundaries. While the main neurological changes will have occurred during the session, they may take time to settle in. Its normal for the changes to progress overtime. Often the client will become more aware of the changes over time as they get back to their daily routine.
NLP was developed in the 1970’s by John Grinder American, Linguist author, management consultant trainer/ speaker and Richard Bandler American author and trainer in the field of self-help. Co-creators of NLP a methodology to understand and change human behaviour patterns.
