I am a trainee Counselling Psychologist and having completed three years of formal training. I am currently in the process of completing my doctoral thesis in order to apply for HCPC accreditation and chartered status.

Welcome to Kay's Counselling, my name is Kiran Mahboob, I’ve gathered all my years of experience: to introduce you to Counselling in such a way where you can make an informed decision on whether you want to have counselling and where you could be if you choose to have counselling with me.

I have volunteered as a Counsellor in the YMCA's across Birmingham and provided a Counselling service to the residents: dealing with issues such as Anger Management, depression, anxiety, addictions, abuse, eating disorders, low self-confidence, stress and many more. I've successfully worked with individuals to help them cope on a day to day basis and also to deal with/overcome their issues so they can regain control of their lives and focus on the more positive things.

I am very passionate about Counselling because it means every person I work with, wants their life to improve for the better and I have the utmost respect for anyone who’s seeking to change their life for the better. I know first-hand the benefits of having Counselling: through Counselling individuals and through having Counselling myself. This is the 1st step towards a happier, healthier life.
